[edit] F.A.S.T. Challenge

The F.A.S.T. Challenge was developed by Hans Van Dan Elzen and Ben McPhee as a competition for the YoYoFactory's F.A.S.T. line of yo-yos, predominantly the F.A.S.T. 201. It includes a variety of basic and intermediate tricks, all of which can be done by all YoYo Factory yo-yos. The idea behind the F.A.S.T. Challenge is to provide new players with a list of tricks which are easily and quickly learned, and a series of immediate goals that can be reached.

The F.A.S.T. Challenge is usually broken up in to specific time goals with prizes attached to each goal met. During the 2005 promotion managed by Hasbro, each time goal was rewarded with a different color wristband, as well as chances to draw prizes from a prize drum. During the 2006 promotion in Singapore, the time goals were revamped and the prize structure increased as follows:

10 tricks in 60 seconds: 2 free strings 10 tricks in 30 seconds: F.A.S.T. logo stopwatch 10 tricks in 15 seconds: Gold Edition F.A.S.T. 201 yo-yo

For the Singapore promotion, grading cards were added to the packages. Contestants were required to be timed by an official F.A.S.T. Demonstrator, and their cards with marked with their time and given to the demonstrator in order to receive the prizes.

The winner or the Midwest fast challenge 18+ division was Dylan Kowalski, whos fastest score was a 12.8 seconds.

The winner of the Midwest fast challenge 12 and under division was Ian Johnson, who's fastest score was around 15 seconds...

The winner of the North East Fast Challege was Jeff Coons (YoYoPunk); his speed was around 15 seconds....

There are ten steps to the F.A.S.T. challenge. The goal is to successfully complete all ten steps before one's competitors. The steps are as follows:

7. Rock the Baby
8. The Bikini
9. Stop and Go
10. Skyrocket
