The well-known and very limited yo-yo, Hurricane, is the first production from Takuto.Design (temporary name). This yo-yo has a wider and lighter body compared to other 1A yo-yos in order to provide a fast 1A playing style. The amount of control is very high due to the low weight and fingers won't get tired easily - even if you keep playing for a long time. Light weight reduces the balance rate of the yo-yo, so that the width of 45mm is chosen because it can expand the weight and cover the disadvantage. Its profile is very sharp, and only little surface area will contact with the string. This might cause uncomfort when the player is holding it because the "yoing finger" (middle finger) will be placed in the concave between the yoyo halves. On the other hand, the wide butterfly shape means the yo-yo hardly eats the string, and allows for extremely long sleep times when the player is performing horizontal 1A tricks, thanks to the high camber body. The hubs of this yo-yo are pointed, so that players can hold the hubs with two fingers and perform matador style.

Cap lips are available for this yo-yo; players can customize pictures of their own and put them on. Large o-rings can be used for additional weight, but the thumb grind function will be lost.

However, the first and only run of this yo-yo made a small machinery mistake that caused the bearing of certain products to be unstable, which could have caused vibration or wobble.

The production date, Get-Yo website, and the artistic Chinese character "?" (means huge; for describing wind) are engraved on the yo-yo, as well as the identical number.

Approximately 90 pieces were made, however, some were destroyed during transport. Only 50 pieces available for selling, all sold in Mainland China and occasionally through Ebay for a low price.

[edit] Player Reviews

I got two Hurricanes, unfortunately, one of them has strong wobbles and other one has completely nothing. The one that works well is the smoothest yo-yo I ever tried, vibration free, quiet bearing and amazing profile. I am a little bit disappointed since I can't get use to light yo-yos, so I added large o-rings to increase the weight to 65 grams. It can still play fast with heavier weight, maybe the shape makes low windage and moves easily, who knows. It can grind pretty well since it is anodized, the wide profile doesn't really affect landing on the wrong string if the trick is practiced well. In conclusion, the shape is very new to me and I love to perform horizontal tricks with it, worth buying a few pieces.--Anson 21:54, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
