The SPYY, or Saturn Precision Yo-Yos, Radian MkII is a high-end ball-bearing aluminum yo-yo designed for the 1A style of play.

[edit] Prototype
The Radian was first introduced as a prototype that was released in a small amount to introduce the yo-yo. The prototype MkII was mirror polished and featured no IRG. Many of the owners of this prototype loved the yo-yo and asked SPYY to carry out their plan to produce the others. This yo-yo was sold directly from SPYY's website and it retailed for $55.95. The first release of these was in 2006.

[edit] Radian MkII
The SPYY Radian MkII was the finished version of the prototype. After the sales of the prototypes and receiving feedback from those who had seen the pictures and those who have played with/owned the prototypes, they decided to machine an IRG into the yo-yo. Thus, like the prototype, it is made from aircraft grade aluminum and features the spiked hubs. This version, however, is anodized in a light blue and features the text, "SPYY RADIAN MKII," followed by the serial number of the yo-yo around the outer hub of the yo-yo, or where the grind lip appears. The anodizing allows for smooth grinds. Some people say that this yo-yo feels close to an Oxy4. This yo-yo retailed for $75.00.

[edit] Radian MkII: Hyperion Edition
The Radian MkII: Hyperion Edition was like the original MkII that was sold by SPYY and yo-yo retailers across the US except for a few things. The yo-yo featured more intricate laser engraving and was only sold at the World Yo-Yo Contest 2006.

The MkII: BBB Edition, or Black Bead Blasted, features all of the same features as the original MkII except the finish. The finish is bead blasted and then flat black hard anodized. This anodizing allows for a slicker finish and longer grinds. This yo-yo retailed for $75.00.
