Offstring Basics

The following are the basics of doing any offstring trick, if followed correctly then you're well on your way to being a yo-yo master!

[edit] The Throw

This is the most basic trick to perform to do any trick. It consists of a forward pass but as the yo-yo is going out take your other hand and grab the string. This should cause the yo-yo to launch back towards you and land on the string. (Note that it will take some good amounts of practice to perfect the landing part... i still can't land it everytime)

[edit] The Return

To return the yo-yo you take the end of the string and quickly loop it around the bearing and tug, this should cause the yo-yo to return to your hand and leave you with a clean line to try throw the yo-yo again!
