Jack Russell

Jack Russell who would go on to start the Russell Yo-Yo Company, started his yo-yo career in the 1940’s demonstrating for Duncan yo-yo’s. In the 1950 Russell became part of Duncan’s foreign promotion division known as D.R.I. with the R Standing for Russell and The D and the I standing for Duncan and Ives the other two heads of the foreign promotions division. When Ives Duncan’s Brother-in-Law suddenly died, Duncan decided to stop their foreign promotions. Russell saw the opportunity and bought the division and formed The Jack Russell Company in 1947, which would later become the Russell company.
