Hasbro has been an toy manufacturer for a very long time. Originally a manufacturer of school supplies, they extended their line in the 1930's to include toys. These include the Mr. Potato Head toy in 1952 and GI Joe in 1964.
In the 1960's the company produced their own line of yo-yos, but in recent years they have had distribution deals with other yo-yo manufacturers, such as Playmaxx and more recently YoYoFactory.
