The Duncan Speed Beetle is an inexpensive looping yo-yo. The speed beetle has not been very popular with AA players due to the fact it uses pads for a response system. Pads wear out and so it is very difficult to get both yo-yo playing the same. It's great for new yo-yoers or for carrying around so when people ask to use your yo you can give them this instead of having them smack your G&E on the concrete. It is sometimes reffered to as a Speedle.

This is my absolute favorite yo-yo. The design is great, the friction stickers seem to last forever, and it is very durable. Since I am a 2A player, I use this a lot, and it works great for a budget price. Very nicely made. --gregleo 02:01, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

This is my favorite looping yo-yo. It's great for looping but not for string tricks. It barely sleeps because of the overly responsive friction stickers and thick lube. --Martin B. 03:45, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
