Regional Contests are large yo-yo contests held in some countries. Currently, the United States, Japan and Brazil hold regional contests.

In the United States, each region has its own contest whose winner gets seeded to the American National yo-yo contest. Likewise the regional contests are seeded from the US State Contests. Similar rules are used in Brazil.

The United States is divided into nine regions:

• Region 1: Northeast
• Region 2: Mid-Atlantic
• Region 3: Southeast
• Region 4: Mid-East
• Region 5: Mid-West
• Region 6: South-Central
• Region 7: Central Pacific
• Region 8: Southwest
• Region 9: Pacific Northwest

Japan is divided into five regions:

• East
• West
• North
• South
• Central

Brazil is divided into three regions:

• Southwest
• South
• Center-West
